BubbleField? TerraSphere? Xorb?

Sorry everyone, but I have been researching trademarks - and it really doesn't seem that describing the highest RamoSphere energy state as "Zorb(™) Mode" is a good idea.

What other catchy descriptions can we come up with for bouncing around inside a sphere?

Hi Aubrey,

I am sorrry, but It reminds me of a soap bubble.

- Could you make two concentric balls, with a liquid between them or perhaps a more transparent layer of materialization cloud? The balls could be equispaced when not touching other objects and displaced by impact.

I am sure I am rambling, but do forgive me. It's past midnight here.

Have a nice day,

Johnny

Cool Aubrey!!!

I see you added a new, more forcefield like texture rendering to the ramosphere.  It looks great, I suggested this about a week ago.

Well, "Activate big rubber thingy and make bounce bounce" just doesn't have that ring to it...

So let's try and wring some sense out of our little grey ones.
A few possible names here: (It would all be preceded with either activate or deactivate :^)
  1. The force (Naaaah... -Too George Lucas')
  2. Powerball (Cleans your dishes too)
  3. Rollerball (Wasn't that a flick back in the eighties?)
  4. PowerSphere
  5. Forcefield
  6. Sphere
  7. Grid
  8. Rollcage
  9. Orbiter
  10. Sumo Ball (The japanese will have no compassion for me after this)
  11. Bouncer (Oh wait, didn't he boot me in the last game?)
  12. Orb
  13. Bounce mode
  14. Hyper Sphere
  15. Space Ball (Sorry, but I couldn't resist..... "Comb the desert!")
  16. Geek in a ball (That would be naming it after me I guess)
  17. Hyper bounce
I guess this is a bit over the top, but why don't you guys try to come up with something clever? *s*

See you all later

  2. Ram O' Matic (Not your ordinary ramming device!)
  3. Ramosphere (A classic)
  4. Bam ball (As in ram bam)
  5. Ram ball (As in bam :P)
  6. WHAT THE LAVA FERN IS THAT THING???
  7. AHH, ITS EATING ME!!!
  8. Trippy mannnn.
  9. And last but not least: Bonk Ball.
And they said alliterations weren't fun! ...The tumble weed rolls on...

Tumble-sphere or Tumble-orb isn't bad. Tumble-cloud, but it isn't descriptive of what it is.

How about the M.H.B. (M.artian H.amster B.all    like zoe said) it could say : Activate M.H.B.   or M.H.B. MODE ACTIVATED

and maybe nobody would really know what it meant (or not) so it could be a mystery.

Sincerely,
DarkMatter

 Zorque?
Aubrey, as cool as the above bubble looks to me , I feel claustrophobic just thinking about my buggy being in there. Besides, the current energy field is such a winner already so please consider keeping it and color coding the difference between RamoSphere (green) and Zorque (gold)?

z speed is how fast the zorb goes. z agility is how much agility the zorb has (like flight agility but 4 the zorb).

I like DarkMatter's acronym idea, but I am not quite sure about the rodent connection :)

How about this:
  • RORB: Ramming Orb - standard mode
  • XORB: Exhuberant/eXterme/eXtended Orb - collision mode, and phonetically congruent to our tried and true Zorb

@Kruncher:

I almost agree - but you have to watch the plasma swirl around your vehicle in real time to fully appreciate how cool this new version is... And best of all, it is nearly transparent in the center - so it is actually less distracting than previous "scanning" green grid. Your color changing idea is excellent! In fact, I had just finished coding it when I read your post :)

Aubrey;

XORB will do the trick. :O)

And please consider Krunchers idea and make it flash when hit by laser/ sniper.
Maybe you could also make it shrink momentarily when it impacts hard with other objects?

Kind regards,

Johnny

I think that the hyper sphere sounds cool!

It sounds spacey and futureistic!

how about: M.X.B. (Mars Xplorer Ball) or M.E.B. or MEB (mars explorer ball) or even MEEB or M.E.E.B.     (Mars Exploration Enhancement Ball) or EEB just like MEEB but without mars in it.

Aubrey, I appreciate all the new, shiny and fun stuff but I sincerely hope your attention soon turns toward a more stable gaming environment.

Bugs or bug-like things such as in-browser game list invisibility, non-responding players (almost every game), game list invisibility even with app after exiting a game, inaccurate quarry announcements: "kruncher tagged killah345 - Killah345 got cheese - Killah345 got cheese - killah345 got asd" and "got"announcement delays (up to 10 seconds) and joining as a bot.
I also ask that you consider adjusting the default settings so they are less challenging to drive and fly in.
(spinout, nose grind, flip-over and Stall Blend)
Whether I like it or not, I can deal with all of the above however, I am a bit concerned about new people being tuned off by how difficult it is to even function in the common default settings.
I felt that 1.6 was so hard that I trashed/re-downloaded the Widget about 5 times in frustration before getting the hang of things and 1.976 default is even tougher to perform the basics.
Thank you for reading, sincerely, kruncher

Every game i enter practically, the settings are all the same. They either dont know are dont care about the settings. Also, I REALLY hate the shock adjuster. All it does is make driving jittery and very annoying. I would prefer it be adjusted. Like if i have high shocks i bounce up high like a pogo stick. First and foremost, i want a ban feature. Not a click click click click click feature, a CLICK-and quiet feature. Are you pickin' up what im steppin' in? ;)  Thank you.

Sorry, I had to put in my idea. I personally like bam ball.

But me, being the super geeky nerd that I am, came up with these two names:

1: Pulsar
2: Quasar

How do you like that?

pulsar = a single powerfull dead star spinning at 1000 kmh emitting 2 beams of gama rays

quazar = basicly, 1 big glowing (what?) black hole
