As many of you are aware, Mars Explorer is powered by Unity 3D.

Unity Technologies released Unity 2.6 today - and with it, an incredibly exciting new pricing structure for the independent dev version of their development system: Free.

I have petitioned for this move for some time, and nothing could have pleased me more than it's adoption.

You can now all join me on the path to becoming a successful 3D developer - and you don't need to invest anything but yourself. Serving in the contexts both of a serious tool and a delightful educational system, I can highly recommend Unity!

P.S. Over the coming weeks, I will be fine-tuning my freely available Mars Explorer Unity package as a gift to beginning developers. I will also be providing a turn key system for converting detailed worlds designed directly inside the super powerful Unity editor into Mars Explorer compatible Whirld files. Stay tuned :)

Click "Terrain" at the top and then click "Create Terrain" and it will add a big old chunk of terrain for your to mold with the brushes that will also be shown once you create the terrain.

You can change the terrain size somehow but i dont know.

Not that thats the only thing you can change of course... Just giving some tips if you want em, not that that was really much of a tip aha.

Im no expert on the matter so i'd ask fc if he has any free time.

Well, I just downloaded Unity, and I have to say it's kinda hard to understand at first, but what else would I expect?

Anyways, I have a question. I also downloaded Aubrey's Mars Explorer Unity Project, and I was wondering how I get the Mars Buggy from the file to Unity.

If you want to make whirlds for mars explorer you will need to download unity.

Cool! Is it hard to use your package to make worlds (as in, programming or extensive knowledge required)? Because although I really want to learn programming, I only know calculator BASIC programming, and that's only what I taught myself. I LOVE creating worlds, so if it required no programming, that would be awesome.

Help! Whenever I try to import files from Aubrey's Mars Explorer Unity Project OR the Old "Mars Buggy Project, I can find the file in my computer, but it's just a folder. I can open the folder and find more files, but the're folders too and i'm forced to work down every choice until i'm greeted with a nice message that says "This folder is empty." It's driving me up the wall because I can't get any Mars stuff into my 'cano king map! Help!
