True GTR's world's are very laggy.

Looking good, but 2 problems

1: It is not compatible with Chrome, unlike all the other versions.  (a similar problem occured at the release of 2.12)

2: This might be fixed by now, but the lava is gray.

There is about a thousand bugs in this version!
1. my jet is randomly fireing red when i'm not faceing anyone and when i willingly fire it's green

2. the connection is so slow

3. i can never get a rendering quality higher than "fast"

4. evry one is active... then they get delayed... than no responce... than the get active again and the cycle starts again

5. i have seen so many tanks "Blow up"

6. when im a tank and fall off the planet i get back on the starting spot and shot in any direction... over... and over...

7. when lazer hits are on "rematerize" and i shooot the quarry the quarry stays the quarry and goes back to the starting point

 

What is wrong with this version?

I have a new computer so Unity works, but on this version it will be stuck on the "Connecting to Game..." screen. What should I do?

well all i can say is it is great..... but the new worlds are a bit laggy, and for some reason when i was playing my world i did not have a mini map telling me where i was going

Excellent Version! I particularly like the interactive objects in the new maps. Also, the ice having weak spots that can be driven through is particularly fun. I am also glad that the No Connection problem seems to finally be solved. 

Oh!! very good!! one problem besides the laging.

 

Although the wheels do look good, i like the older ones better.  they are more original.  You can change the name, the worlds, the gameplay, but not the buggy.  

Never mind! Works now! Pretty awesome!

1.  Good Job Aubrey, love the new version.

 

2. I was just in a game with GTR and in his Ice World on the download Mac version, and the app just turned off without warning.  It happened before that when I tried to join a game, but I thought it was a fluke.

The windows application download doesn't work for me.

I am running Windows 7.

Is it not compatible, or is it something else?

EDIT:  It is the direct download that I am talking about, haven't tried the torrent download.

Game crashed completely randomly. Wasn't pressing a button or anything. Just cruising in my hover craft and it shut down. Did have a pop up "Safari quit unexpectedly" message like normal either.

 

Edit: Some areas in the Desert Rock map have parts of the river missing. It appears to just cut off and disapears in some areas, although it still acts like water even thought it looks like air. Much like in Unity Island at the edge of the world where it appears that the waters ends, but it actually goes on forever. Despite this, i predict i will be spending much time in this map :)

HELP! I CAN'T DOWNLOAD IT!

I DOWNLOAD THE DIRECT DOWNLOAD, AND IT DOWNLOADS, THEN THE SCREEN COMES UP SAYING 'MARS EXPLORER WILL DOWNLOAD SHORTLY,' THEN NOTHING HAPPEN *weeps*

On application and Firefox;

*Despite my high FPS (100), every 2.2 map including Freestyle has lag, screen freeze and jerky vehicle movement even in Simple.

*Joining players name badges still shoot up into the air sometimes in dedicated servers.

*Tested 2.0 and can run Fantastic in browser no prob.  I suggest a gigantic new game pointer sign when starting older versions. Still people there without knowledge of new versions.

Very hard to play any 2.2 map in any quality setting right now.  :(

With the realistic water/lava and such, we really should have splashes and ripples

i am having some problems with this version at the moment as for some reason i am no longer able to join any game that is using GTR's ice world, where as yesterday i could do so just fine

Yeah, scratch that last comment. I have the same problem as Seb does....

 

Also, when I try to make a game, it tells me that it is password protected! >.<

I have an error:  I just got a new laptop (YAY!) and I joined Tigerstorm's server, but he had already left by the time the Whirld finished loading.  Tiger joined again, and I said "Hi! Guess what?".  A little while later, Tiger said "GA?" and left.  Here's a pic of what happened when he rejoined a second time.

 

Ahh, you were NR by the way. There's an annoying bug....

And yet I see a world, and Darknessx sees one too. This is a problem....

This would be really cool:

Lasers are really hot in real life.  So, why not a steam effect when it hits lava or water?  It would only be enabled on beautiful or fantastic settings, and only by choice.

Is there another Master server failure because nobody's on any version.

I cannot get my mind off of the whirld update... Please soon!

 

 

And the new mars explorer is working very well, I love the new spawn... Networking not giving me a bit of issues, except when I changed the RPC mode, to reduce lag in Seb's world.

 

Sadly the World Creator is on hold, due to it's incredible reliance on the whirld system, please hurry with getting an update out.

 

I am having the unity bug as well.  Also NOT A SINGLE SOUL I have seen since yesterday morning.  So I guess it went down around 9 A.M. for me yesterday.  I can host, but no one is on.

I'm having the same problem no one has been on and also like kruncher it's the first time my computer said firefox has unexpectedly crashed but other than that is pretty fun.

A new version has just been uploaded. If you play via your web browser, you shouldn't have anything to worry about (though you can clear your cache if you want to ensure you are on the very latest and greatest).

 

If you are playing via a downloadable version, please redownload it.

 

This update should greatly improve stability, and may also help to prevent the "visual freezing" experienced by Kruncher and others.

P.S. Yes, the dedicated server recently went down - very sorry about that. The entire thing froze, and I had to hard reset it. I hate windows :)

Aubrey it seems that it is still down. 

It seems to have gone down again, I think the dedicated servers went down first, then the whole game.

Me, zam, and PointyBagels tried to connect to a game via DirectConnect. Still a nonstarter.

 

I have a non dedicated server running right now, see if you can get in.
