I hate to be a suspect and all, but I believe I got that PM as well, unless it was a different one.

You have every reason to post this. I have no problems with you being suspicious of everyone who was sent that PM.

 

Can I say that I think I'm really past the age of really bad 'jokes' as I think the spammer would call it.

Please, before you start making accusations, realize that the programing world has nothing new to offer.  It may be quite likely this is not the first forum the individual has spammed.  If he knows what he is doing then we can safely assume he knows all the tricks.  Let us not disrupt this community my pointing inward without valid proof.  Every one of those individuals you have listed have done a great deal for this community. 

 

I cannot tell you who to suspect and who not to but I would advise against publicly anouncing them, especial those with a favorable reputation.  Unless you have solid evidence, and even then, this is best done in private. 

Anything that would cause this site to be blocked by a text searching firewall cannot be considered a joke. A joke is supposed to be funny. While we can probably assume the spammer was absolutely hysterical with laughter, I doubt that any of the rest of us found their monumental idiocy and digital graffiti in the least amusing. I do, however, bristle slightly at the suggestion that these people would do something as evil as the latest spammer's attacks.

I think you could be right, however, you should be careful as to who you accuse. Its not for example:

 

MacDane, GTR34, TheDude, Kruncher, Admin (duh), Picard, Applesky, Seb, Cheezburger, or Supercheese, I can vouch for them...

 

They've been on too long to suddenly start being destructive, and I know most of 'em... no offense to the rest, of course.

Like  red said why wasn't I in there I'm well known right? Also what is this method to block the spam?

Ok, since Aubrey eradicated the spammer's account (and any accounts he may try to make in the future), i'm going to hide this post soon.

 

Just to be clear, I wasn't necessarily pointing fingers at anyone.  All I was pointing out is that the plan was only known about by people who got the PM, and wenis somehow knew about the plan.

 

Hey, has anyone noticed the split personalities this website has?  One day, it's a game forum, one day, it's a soap opera, and one day, it's an episode of Scooby-Do!  This is one of the reasons I keep visiting this website.  It always has something new and interesting on it!

Once again,  I am not pointing fingers at anyone.  All i'm doing is giving a report of the bizzare things that I found.  If you all feel so strongly about this, I guess i'll hide this post.
